Elizabeth Knowsley

Elizabeth Knowsley was the daughter of George Knowsley and Mary Wells. She was born on the 28 December 1866 at Hilderthorpe, and baptised on the 24 February 1867 at Bridlington, Yorkshire. Elizabeth did not marry, and throughout her life lived with members of her family.

1901 - 5 Albert Terrace, Bridlington - Mary is still the head of the house, a lodging house keeper, along with Elizabeth a dressmaker and Samuel is now a grocers assistant.
1911 - 8 Wellington Road, Bridlington - Mary has now passed away (1909) and Elizabeth is now the head of the house, and is a lodging house keeper. Her bother Samuel Wells Knowsley is living with her and is a grocers assistant.
1939 - 14 Lansdowne Road, Bridlington - Elizabeth and her brother Samuel are still living together. Elizabeth is listed as an unpaid domestic duties and Samuel is listed as being incapacitated.
Elizabeth Knowsley died on the 15 September 1942. She left her estate worth £357 17s 7d to her sister Arabella Pickin [nee Knowsley] widow and William Henry Blakeston solicitor.
