Scroll down the page for a summary of contemporary research.   I know it's a lot to read but very interesting and informative.

"Science Digest" March 1978 issue reported in the article "Our mightiest Germ fighter," " Thanks to eye-opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern medicine. An antibiotic kills perhaps a half-dozen different disease organisms, but silver kills some 650. Resistant strains fail to develop. Moreover, silver is virtually nontoxic. Says a pioneering silver researcher, Dr. Harry Margraf, of St.Louis: " Silver is the best all around germ-fighter we have."

UCLA University, lab studies involving organisms that are known to cause, venereal disease, strep, staph, funguses, yeast infections "candida albicans,' food poisoning, etc.
The Medicine department of obstetrics and gynecology, at the University of California, Los Angeles, conduced tests in 1988 regarding the use of silver solutions as disinfectants. Antimicrobial & antibacterial effects were demonstrated in 10 5 concentrations per milliliter of the following: neisseria gonorrhea, gardurella vaginalisis, streptococcus pyogenes, staphylococcus aureus, candida albicans, candida elobata, m.furfur, salmonela typhi.. Department of Health & Human Services (NIH) and cancer center laboratory test results, regarding Lyme disease.
Borrelia burgdorferi & b hermsti, organisms associated with the causing the symptoms of Lyme Disease, were tested at the Department of Heath and Human Services, Rocky Mountain Laboratories, & Fox Chase Cancer Center, respectively in 1995, colloidal silver in concentrations of 15 PPM And 150 PPM demonstrated that no live spirochetes of either borrellia burgdorferi (B310 or b hermsti (HS-1) survived after 24 hours of exposure, in the Rocky Mountain Labs study. Ref. (11, 4-D)

The Fox chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, demonstrated growth inhibition of borrelia burgdorferi using colloidal silver in concentrations as low as two to ten PPM. Much more rapid effects demonstrated in higher concentrations e.g. fifteen to seventy-five PPM. Ref. (12, 4-F)

There are a number of on going studies regarding the use of colloidal silver. As discussed later in this article, the pharmaceutical industry became involved essentially at the request of a doctor. The result was a unique process that may be developed into patentable features. This resulted in the development of MSP or mild silver protein, which is micro-clusters of silver infused or bonded to a protein. This new and unique form of silver was then forwarded to the NIH, doctors and universities. The following are some of the amazing findings.

Study findings, Temple University, School of Medicine. RE: HIV-1 , candida albicans & cryptococcus neormans.
February 2, 1995
"Preliminary studies on your silver preparation (1500 PPM) show it to be effective in inhibiting and killing strains of Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans in-vitro. Four strains of C. Neoformans were tested and they were killed by the preparation at 150-300 PPM. The growth of these strains were inhibited at a concentration as low as 0.3 PPM. Three strains of C. Albicans were tested and they were killed by the preparation at between 46 and 93 PPM. Growth was inhibited at between 0.7 and 1.4 PPM. Additional studies should be done to evaluate in-vivo effectively. " Ref. (13, 4-B.)

"mild silver protein inhibited HIV-1 replication in sup. T1 cells as measured by a reduction in the appearance of syncytia in cell culture." Ref. (14, 4-C)

Testing with human subjects
As you can understand laboratory results do not necessarily reflect results with human subjects. We are not indicating that this information is conclusive, therefore it is not proof. However we feel the the general public is intelligent enough to discern the value of this information or lack thereof. Where else can you even read about this? One thing seems clear, if there truly are already preliminary testing results, using human subjects, as well as anecdotal reports that are astounding to say the least, wouldn't these findings even if anecdotal warrant further research and interest? There is apparently some excitement out there as evidenced by the title of the following book title, revisited from above.
