On the 6th April 1858 at Cooma, when aged 22 years, John Williams (2nd) married a lass named Mary Ann Shannon. Just like the earlier generations they had a large family, 12 in all. At the time of John's death ten were living and their details follow. Two female children pre-deceased John but the writer is not aware of their names.

At age 65 John (2nd) married again to Therese Summerell and fathered another seven children which made 19 all up including one child born after his death.

Mary Ann Theresa Summerell
While married to his first wife he lived in the Numerella
district near Cooma. In his later years he moved to the district
south and west of Eden in the general area of Kiah, Towamba and
the Imlay Shire.
Other information known about John (2nd) is that he was
illiterate. On 5/1/1918 at Burragate, Imlay Shire, he died of old
age and heart failure. He is buried in the Towamba cemetery. He
was certainly some man this John Williams (2nd). While at Numerella he fathered a son named Robert Williams (2nd) who
carried on our direct line.
