What is Zen Do Kai WA?
Zen Do Kai is a “Freestyle” martial art. Australia’s original mixed martial art. That is to say that it incorporates techniques and training principles from many different styles, always with a view to enhancing it’s practicality. We come from classical “Karate” roots but over the years we have seen the value of combining Western based fighting systems such as Boxing, Kick Boxing, Submission Grappling and Weaponry into the curriculum. Put together, these form a modern, effective and comprehensive self defence system. We seek to improve the system, improve ourselves and create opportunities for individuals to achieve their personal best. Modern Ideas with Traditional Values.
